Gold Park Update

Work has begun on stabilizing the riverbank supporting the covered walkway in Gold Park.  River Works, a specialty construction company based in Cary, will be armoring the portion of the riverbank that supports the covered walkway under the railroad trestle in compliance with state permits.  This work is necessary to ensure the safe use of the walkway by pedestrians.  The work is expected to take about 30 days, weather permitting.  Once it is complete and the necessary approvals received, the walkway will be opened for pedestrians.

Hillsborough UDO draft text

For all those who previously received email updates on the Hillsborough UDO/Zoning Rewrite process, we have converted our contact method to this newsletter format from our website.  This method allows you to self-manage your subscription (i.e. unsubscribe if you wish) and allows others to self-subscribe.

The UDO process is still basically on schedule.  I anticipate a complete draft will be ready in mid-October, with many sections released piece-meal in advance.
