Description

This site has received approval as an age-restricted neighborhood.  Single-family houses will be available to buyers 55 years of age and older without minors in the household.

Additionally, the applicant has the option to construct a continuing care retirement community and support facilities.  The applicant has secured Duke Wellness as a partner.  The Duke Wellness Facility will be the first component constructed.  The approval for the MAHS housing model is also still valid.  The MAHS is rental housing where the residents are able to secure "home health" type services from an outside provider that has no connection with the facility owner.  The service providers are licensed and moditored by the state.  An MAHS facility is not licensed by the state.

Units in the continuing care retirement community portion of the site are subject to pre-sale before construction begins.

In January 2012, two modification applications were filed to 1) remove the age limit on the western portion of the site and 2) reconfigure the buildings on the east side, including removing the apartment building from the west side and incorporating those units into a single building with 142 units pursuing the MAHS service model.  Both of these modifications were denied by the Town Board on March 12, 2012.  The plans on this page remain the approved options.

November 2012:  Another modification request was expected for January 2013.   However, recent contact with the owner has clarified No Modification Request is forthcoming.  The deadline has passed for items to be added to the Jnauary agenda.
