Mission Statement
"To provide effective and efficient management of the water and sewer utilities system, which is responsive to customer needs and environmental concerns."
The town engineer is charged with ensuring that Hillsborough complies with state codes and regulations for water and wastewater operations. The engineer plans, designs, and implements repairs and improvements to the water and wastewater systems. He also receives inquiries from developers regarding water and sewer availability.

Engineering/Utilities
Call Before You Dig
Before digging, call 811 to have all underground lines located and marked for free. Tell the operator where you're planning to dig and what type of work you'll be doing. Your affected utility companies will be notified and will mark the approximate areas of underground lines, pipes and cables within a few days.
