Dead Animal Removal

Public Works employees remove dead animals from town and state roads within the town limits. The town does not remove animals from private roads or property. To report a dead animal in the road, please place a work order. For removal of dead animals on roads outside the town’s limits, call the N.C. Department of Transportation at 733-4300. If you observe a hazardous situation during nonworking hours, call 911.
