Bulk Item / White Goods / Furniture Collection

Bulk items the town will collect include furniture, mattresses, appliances and water heaters. These items currently are collected on your weekly garbage collection day after your work order is processed.

If an item left at the curb is not collected by the town, a sanitation policy tag will be left at your door informing you of items that the town does not collect.

Collection Changes

Beginning November 2011, bulk items will be collected once a month during the second full week of each month. If the scheduled collection day falls on a town-observed holiday, the bulk items will be removed the following business day.

Bulk items should be placed at the curb no earlier than one week before collection.

Items that are too bulky, heavy or cumbersome may require payment of a fee based on the nature and amount of the materials and the estimated time required to perform the service.
