Riverwalk Phase II Construction
The town is seeking proposals for construction of about 5,289 linear feet of pedestrian trail and boardwalk along the Eno River. Bids are due by 1:30 p.m. May 6 May 9. A bidder conference was conducted April 16, and all bidder questions are due by April 29. A contract is expected to be awarded June 10, with construction expected to start Aug. 1.
NOTE: This project is being re-advertised to bids. The bid opening is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23 in the Hillsborough Town Barn. All project details remain unchanged.

Request for Letters of Interest — CMAQ Sidewalk Connections
The town is seeking proposals from NCDOT pre-qualified private engineering firms to perform design and engineering services, permitting oversight, and construction document development for the CMAQ-Sidewalk Connections project in Hillsborough. This project consists of several sidewalk segments along Calvin, South Nash and Allison streets and one segment of paved greenway connecting Allison Street to Gold Park. The project is partially funded through the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality program with NCDOT and must meet various state and federal guidelines.
Letters of Interest are due by 1:30 p.m. June 3. Shortlisted firms will be notified by June 7. Any interviews conducted will be on June 13. Notification of selection will be by June 26. The full details are below.
